METRO Orange Line

Connecting Bus Service

The METRO Orange Line now provides highway bus rapid transit (BRT) service in the I-35W corridor connecting downtown, south Minneapolis, Richfield, Bloomington, and Burnsville with fast, reliable, all-day service. The Orange Line replaced routes 535 and 597. Bus routes in the corridor were restructured to maximize connections to the Orange Line and improve transit service in the area.

Note: Some of the improvements outlined in the Orange Line Connecting Bus Study have been deferred due to an ongoing driver shortage and to provide a more reliable schedule: Route 46 weekend service is suspended, Route 548 is deferred and Route 553 is suspended. These improvements may occur as resources become available. Review the Orange Line Connecting Bus Study Plan.
