Metro Transit is stepping up to the plate to give fans an affordable and hassle-free way of getting to Target Field and other event sites during Major League Baseball® All-Star Week™.
Special Northstar trains will make trips to All-Star events July 12-15 and extra light-rail trains will be in service on the METRO Blue and METRO Green lines as needed throughout the festivities. All rail lines serve the recently-expanded Target Field Station next to Target Field.
Fans can also ride the Green Line to Stadium Village Station for the Target All-Star Concert featuring Imagine Dragons at TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday, July 12. Free rides on select Nicollet Mall buses can be taken to the T-Mobile All-Star FanFest at the Minneapolis Convention Center and several bus routes go to the Ramp B/5th Street Transit Center next to Target Field.
“The combination of light rail, commuter rail and bus service make Target Field among the most transit-friendly ballparks in the country, and the recent addition of the Green Line provides even more opportunities to enjoy All-Star festivities,” General Manager Brian Lamb said. “We look forward to being a part of this community-wide celebration and providing fans convenient travel options as they enjoy events across the Twin Cities.”
